Brave at Heart: The Story of the Sherman County Braves is a coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of one team’s incredible and unlikely high school basketball season in rural, 1970’s Kentucky. In 1979 a group of high school basketball players from Northern Kentucky would make an unlikely run to the Kentucky state high school basketball tournament affectionately known in the Bluegrass as the Sweet 16. This is their story. It's basically a true story, (except for the parts I made up), only the names have been changed to protect the guiltocent. Along the way these boys established a bond that would last the rest of their lives.
